I have now used the old ground from the 80 m antenna and put it on the new 110 m antenna, so now I have 5 ground there from 0,5-1,5 m long. Have to buy some more 1 m to make better ground to the other antennas as well. More is better.

Some SW LA was heard at 22 UTC but nithing special.
Just finished the ground, balun for the new antenna. This will replaice the old 80 m antenna in 120 degrees. A tree is going to be "executed" soon so that antenna has to go down. Now I only have the end of the antenna left to do. But it just startet to rain so I have to finish later. I have now 1x1,5 m and 1x1 m ground and 60 m koax and 110 m longwire in 270 degrees, passing my window. First test is good. The last 20-30 m is still on the ground. Will finish when the rain stops.

Maybe I'll use the 80 m antenna and make the 290 degrees longer. 380 m would be nice.

I have now finished the new antenna. I can make it 5-10 m longer, but why bother. It ends now in mid air, and the rope is tied to a tree next to a birdhouse. Tree climbing skills still there!

Did not check the recordnings to much. Was not all that good morning. Checking PAX95 instead.
Needed some supply for the old antennas, when it's time for "falling tree"-project. Will prob change some for better direction and ground. I will scout some this weekend to see if 160 degrees could be 180-190 degrees in same length or better. And 120 degrees will become 270 degrees with the double length. Maybe I'll just pay the start fee for a dart turnament and get an ass whoop in 501 instead.

New antenna is now online and working. Length is now 300 m in 290 degrees. and koax 250 m. I have used the first antenna I used, 100 m, and 200 m new wire. Balun is grounded with 2x1,5 m and 1x1 m long stakes in wett ground. Balun is placed 50 cm from ground in a plastic box on a tree, becouse it often is high water there. The antenna is held by strings, so no coils in the beginning or end. It ends in mid air atm.
I might ad 100 m later.
At the moment the Europe/Africa antenna is offline (no balun). Both the 80 m and 90 m antennas that I have used will be down for a while when a tree is going down, as soon as the neighbor gets back from Spain. Maybe I'll change them for better ground and direction later.

This was the first test of the new antenna (290), now only 100 m long. I could hear about 20-30 NA stations at first test at 23/00 UTC.

Back to basic

Now I'm back home. With me I have 300 m coax, 3x1,5 m groundpipes, for my next antenna project. Made a quick stop in Fredriksfors, Delsbo (DRAK) and picked up these items. Next is to take down one antenna and move it to new spot, and then fix the coax and ground. Then I have to buy more antenna wire. Initial length of the new antenna will be 3-400 m in 290 degrees, with possibility to ad 3-400 m. But then I have to go over a road.
